The summer transfer window has been open for almost three weeks now and it appears that things are starting to heat up at FC Barcelona.

Indeed, SPORT reports that Barcelona have made the decision to sign both Nico Williams and Dani Olmo from Athletic Club and RB Leipzig, respectively, and are ready to pull out all the stops for their transfers.

Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, has given the green light and the club feels financially ready to make a real splash. And the optimism, at the moment, is total because the two signings, being worked on parallelly, are on track.

Nico deal could be done by next week

In fact, the report states that there could be news as early as next week, especially in the case of Nico Williams.

There is total optimism at Barcelona about signing the Athletic Club winger on a contract that would run for five seasons plus an optional one. They are preparing the operation to make the payment of his €58 million termination clause.

In fact, Barcelona’s objective is to be able to make the payment even before the trip to the United States, but it could be delayed for a few more days depending on the complete green light from the player.

Dani Olmo also on track

In the case of Dani Olmo, Barcelona have waited for the deadline to expire on the winger’s exit clause for €60 million.

The Blaugrana consider that open negotiations with RB Leipzig without a fixed price could benefit them. Olmo has other proposals but the total priority of the footballer is to return to Barça and that can play a determining role.

Barcelona are preparing an offer of around €50 million plus variables that could be enough to close the deal for a player who is highly valued by the coaching staff and the sporting department.

Barcelona are clear that from next week onwards they are going to reach the 1-1 rule and they already have a number of deals lined up that will help them achieve a surprising market that no one could have imagined.
