Barcelona may have just stumbled upon a golden transfer opportunity. According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich are open to letting Kingsley Coman leave this summer despite the Frenchman having a contract that runs until 2027.
The update confirms that Coman is actively planning an exit, and all parties involved have maintained a positive and transparent relationship. In short, the door is wide open.
This shift in Coman’s situation could change the entire outlook for Barcelona’s left-wing reinforcement plans.
While the 28-year-old currently prioritises a move to Saudi Arabia, nothing is set in stone. Liverpool have reportedly made an enquiry, but no formal negotiations are underway.
Most crucially, Bayern are expected to demand a fee between €30-40 million, a price well within Barcelona’s reach. Compared to other targets like Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford, this deal offers exceptional value.

The Colombian could cost upwards of €80 million, and although Rashford’s estimated transfer fee is around €40 million, his wages are proving to be a major obstacle.
This is where Coman emerges as the more logical target. Not only is his asking price considerably lower, but his wage demands are expected to be more manageable as well, especially considering his desire for a new chapter.
The added advantage of Coman is his past success under Hansi Flick. The two shared a highly productive spell at Bayern Munich, where Flick managed to bring out the best in the French winger.
Coman’s pace, directness, and tactical intelligence perfectly suited Flick’s high-intensity approach, qualities that Barcelona would greatly benefit from on the left flank.
Reuniting Flick with Coman is more than a nostalgic move, it is a strategic one. Barcelona would be acquiring a proven winner who already knows the manager’s style and can slot in immediately without a long adaptation period.
