La Liga champions Barcelona have on Friday been afforded a sudden boost on the transfer front.

This comes amid confirmation that Athletic Club star Nico Williams is now actively seeking out a move to the club.

The name of wide-man Nico has returned to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the evening to date.

This comes, first, after Diario Sport revealed that Deco had been spotted in a meeting with Félix Tainta, the 22-year-old’s representative.

Prior to as much, it had been widely reported that Barcelona’s pursuit of Nico had been brought to a definitive close.

Is the latest word in the media late on Friday is anything to go by, however, then a joining of forces between the parties, all of a sudden, appears to be back on the cards.

As per Mundo Deportivo, Nico himself was the man behind today’s meeting.

The Athletic Club star requested for his agent to make crystal clear to Deco and co. that he is now very much eager to join.

And in a further insight courtesy of the reliable Ben Jacobs, it has also been confirmed that Nico is ready to slash his wage demands to secure a Camp Nou switch.
