The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona have long made a final call on the future of on-loan attacker Ansu Fati.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have late this week provided an insight into the situation.
The name of wide-man Ansu has of course reemerged as a prominent one across not only Spain, but all of Europe over recent weeks.
This comes with the 22-year-old, all of a sudden, having rediscovered his goalscoring touch.
After linking up with French outfit AS Monaco on a season-long loan deal over the summer, Ansu last month exploded back into life, courtesy of six goals in five appearances.
With such form comes inevitable chatter surrounding his future, with some having even gone as far as to suggest that Barcelona could seek out a reunion with their talented winger in the case of his production carrying through the remainder of the term.
If the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, however, then under no circumstances will this prove the case.
As per a report from Sport:
‘The sporting area does not contemplate re-signing him for next season and is waiting for him to continue performing so that Monaco can take over all his rights for 11 million euros.’
