Barcelona have started making calls over strengthening one area of Hansi Flick’s squad in the summer | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have begun actively scouring the market for reinforcements in one particular position with a view to next season.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards right-back as the position in question.

Barcelona of course have one clear first-choice at right-back at present, in the form of Jules Koundé.

And though youngster Héctor Fort is held in altogether high regard behind him, Hansi Flick is understood to be of the opinion that his options in the position are not yet sufficient.

A whole host of right-backs from across the world of football, in turn, have been tipped as potential arrivals in Catalunya’s capital.

And as alluded to above, this month, efforts on the part of the Blaugrana to bring one such player in have been kickstarted.

As per Fabrizio Romano, speaking on his official YouTube Channel:

“My information today is that Barcelona internally are seriously discussing the possibility of bringing in a new right-back in the summer transfer window. So Barca have started this month to call around for right-backs for the summer.”
