Alejandro Balde has made his position very clear amid growing speculation surrounding Barcelona’s plans for the left-back position this summer.

The academy graduate has seen questions emerge about his future in recent months, particularly as Barcelona continue to assess the market for potential reinforcements on the left side of defence. 

However, according to information shared by Santi Ovalle, sources close to the player insist that Balde has no intention of leaving the club at this stage.

It is said that despite the uncertainty surrounding Barcelona’s transfer plans, the defender remains focused on continuing his career at Camp Nou and is not actively considering a move elsewhere.

The club is believed to be monitoring several left-back options, including Andrea Cambiaso, in case an attractive market opportunity emerges. 

As a result, speculation has intensified around Balde and his long-term role in Hansi Flick’s project.

Adding to that uncertainty is the rise of Joao Cancelo, who has established himself as a key figure on the left side of defence. 

Barcelona are interested in keeping the Portuguese international on a permanent basis, but even then, sources close to Balde insist the player remains fully committed to Barcelona.

The message coming from his camp is that he has no plans to leave unless the club directly informs “We do not rely on you,” which is not the case as of today. 

It must be noted that Balde remains highly regarded across Europe, particularly in the Premier League, where several clubs are believed to appreciate his profile. 

At the same time, there is currently no indication that Barcelona are actively pushing him towards the exit door. 

The club may be exploring alternatives and monitoring the market, but that does not automatically mean Balde’s departure is being planned, which is why nothing can be said for sure.
