The transfer team at La Liga giants Barcelona have identified a new target, amid their ongoing search for reinforcements at the back.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Hugo Bueno as the player in question.
Bueno, for his part, is a 22-year-old left-back, who is currently plying his trade on the books of Dutch heavyweights Feyenoord.
Across the season to date, the Spaniard has featured on 10 occasions across all competitions, chipping in with a trio of assists along the way.
Bueno’s performances have been widely hailed in The Netherlands, with the Galicia native’s exploits going forward having piqued particular attention.
And, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from his home country this week is anything to go by, then Bueno appears to have made his way onto the radar of one of La Liga’s leading clubs.
As per a report from Sport:
‘A new option has emerged that Barcelona are very aware of. Hugo Bueno, a Wolverhampton player on loan to Feyenoord, is presented as a ‘low cost’ alternative.’
Hansi Flick, it is understood, is keen to add to his options at left-back with a view to the 2025/26 campaign.
Bayern Munich standout Alphonso Davies remains the priority target on the part of the Blaugrana, but, in the case of a deal for the Canadian not being possible, Bueno is considered a very real alternative.
