Sky Germany reports that Barcelona are one of the clubs showing interest in Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani.

It has previously been reported that the 23-year-old has a release clause in his contract in Sinsheim and is already planning to take the next step in his career next summer. The criterion is that the striker’s new club must play in the Champions League.

Barcelona are said to be one of the teams interested in the Kosovo international amid the uncertainty surrounding the future of Robert Lewandowski.

Asllani has previously stated that it is his dream to play for the Catalan side.

How has the Barcelona target started the season?

Since returning from a successful loan at 2.Bundesliga side Elversberg, Asllani has had an immediate impact in Sinsheim. In seven games this season, the 23-year-old has five goals and two assists in seven games, making him Hoffenheim’s top scorer.

Asllani’s form has also carried over to the national team, where he has played a key role in helping Kosovo stay in the running for World Cup qualification.
