Marc Guehi has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market heading into the summer of 2026.

After all, the England international, 25, is out of contract with Crystal Palace at the end of the season and will be available as a free agent.

Naturally, top clubs across Europe have taken note of his situation and are ready to make a move, with FC Barcelona also being among his admirers.

Barcelona like Guehi

Indeed, according to Mundo Deportivo, Guehi is on Barcelona’s list of possible signings for next season. His technical profile fits what manager Hansi Flick wants, even though the Englishman is right-footed.

However, at the Spotify Camp Nou, they know that the 25-year-old centre-back has other suitors, and they do not plan to enter a bidding contest over his salary.

In Germany, there is talk of a move from Bayern Munich for Guehi, while in England, there is speculation about interest from Liverpool, who already tried to sign him last summer.

As per the report, Bayern are the club making the most significant moves. The German side are rebuilding part of their defence for next season and view Guehi as an attractive option both in sporting and financial terms.

As for Barcelona, they view his physical strength, speed, technical ability and calmness when playing out from the back as major positives. However, they note that he lacks experience in top-level continental competition.

Irrespective of that, Guehi ticks most boxes for the Blaugrana and they view him as a viable addition.

However, the La Liga champions do not intend to enter a bidding war for the 25-year-old, in terms of offering him a high salary and a big signing bonus to lure him to the club.

Other players, such as Nico Schlotterbeck of Borussia Dortmund, are on Barcelona’s radar as possible defensive reinforcements for 2026.
