The board at La Liga giants Barcelona are keeping a watchful eye on developments surrounding the future of Chelsea starlet Estêvão. This comes with a view to a potential move for his signature in the new year.

Attacker Estêvão has for his part endured a difficult opening to the new campaign in west London. Following the summer appointment of Xabi Alonso, the Brazilian has struggled to establish himself in the system of his new manager.

Considered one of the standout attacking talents in world football, chatter surrounding Estêvão’s long-term prospects under Alonso has in turn already begun to spread.

As per a report from Foot Mercato:

‘FC Barcelona are monitoring Estêvão’s situation at Chelsea very closely! Deco is personally following his development, and Barça could approach his entourage in early 2027 to explore the possibility of a transfer.’

It is added that, despite his recent challenges, Chelsea still consider Estêvão an ‘important’ player for the club’s future, making any potential transfer ‘particularly tricky’.
