Barcelona looking for another unique kit sponsor – report | OneFootball

With their finances highly strained, FC Barcelona will have to work a lot to be able to make their required signings in this summer transfer window.

For this purpose, the Catalans have been trying to explore and use some novel ways of generating income. Some of the resources, like the activation of some economic levers and sales of some assets, have already been used up by the club in the last few years.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, Barcelona are now thinking of generating some income by utilizing the space on the shorts that their players will be wearing for the next season. This space on the kit has not yet been exploited, and the Catalans are looking to get a new sponsor by allocating this space to them.

This subject was discussed during the meeting of the club’s directors yesterday. This operation can be finalized in a matter of days, and its successful completion will bring in a significant amount of money to the Blaugrana coffers.

In fact, the Catalans had been looking to exploit this unused asset since the last year. This space has never been used by Barcelona, but with their problems with FFP and income generation, getting a new sponsor for this space makes a lot of sense.

If this new sponsor is engaged, it will go a long way in facilitating some of the Catalan club’s moves in the market. The Blaugranes are looking to get their top target Nico Williams by paying his release clause and offering him a significant amount of money.
