Mora, for his part, is an attacking midfielder/forward who is currently plying his trade in his home country of Mexico.

Despite being just 16 years of age, the starlet is already an established first-team player at Club Tijuana, with four direct goal contributions in eight Liga MX appearances to his name thus far this season.

Not only that, but he has been capped on three occasions by Mexico at senior level.

With such remarkable exploits at such a young age is always likely to come outside interest, in particular from across the water in Europe.

Over recent weeks, amid Mora’s sparkling form at the U20 World Cup, a number of the game’s top clubs have in turn been tipped to launch moves for his signature.

And as alluded to above, this week, one such outfit have gone as far as to kick their pursuit into gear.

As per a report from the aforementioned César Luis Merlo, Barcelona have begun working towards the starlet’s signing.

Deco and co. have made contact with Mora’s entourage, to gain a better understanding of the kind of financial layout likely to be involved in a deal.

As of yet, though, no offer has been placed.
