Barcelona’s recent 4-0 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid in Copa Del Rey was a major blemish for Hansi Flick’s team.
It came at a time when things were looking up for Barcelona, especially with Pedri and Raphinha almost returning to full fitness.
And to make things even better, Barcelona may also be able to soon count on the services of none other than Gavi.
According to Diario AS, Gavi is closing in on his full return after suffering from yet another injury for the major part of the campaign.
The report adds that the Spanish international could return to action by the end of the month, having made strong progress in his recovery.
The midfielder is already training with the ball, and everything suggests his return could be just around the corner.

Gavi’s return could go a long way in boosting Barcelona’s midfield, which was relying heavily on Pedri, who, in turn, has been struggling with an injury.
However, even if Gavi returns to the pitch, it is not guaranteed that he will receive regular game time immediately.
Barcelona have been extremely cautious with the Spaniard in the past, given his sketchy fitness record. And that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
Therefore, the Spanish international will be given ample time to recover his full fitness before he is considered eligible to start matches for Barcelona.
Keeping that in mind, it won’t be surprising to see Gavi’s actual return date being dragged back due to necessary precautions. So it will be interesting to see when exactly the midfielder will mark his return to action.
