Marc Casado has emerged as one of the surprising candidates to leave Barcelona this summer as the club desperately look to bring in fresh revenue.

After a breakthrough campaign under Hansi Flick, the young midfielder has found himself on the radar of many top clubs across Europe, including Chelsea and even Arsenal.

Barcelona, too, are reportedly open to the move if the club receive an offer in excess of the €50 million mark.

But amid question marks over Casado’s long-term future at the club, the young midfielder has professed his eternal love for Barcelona by posting a picture online.

Casado posts a childhood picture in a Barcelona shirt

Casado has recently posted a childhood picture on Instagram, alongside a family member.

In the picture, both can be seen wearing Barcelona shirts, in what looks to be the 2009/10 edition kit.

Casado’s story can be seen as a clear statement of commitment and desire to continue at Barcelona despite speculation linking him with a move away from Camp Nou.

It appears the young midfielder is ready to fight for his place in the first team next season, especially after emerging as one of La Liga’s rising stars last season.

Unfortunately, Barcelona’s economic situation is such that at least one important sale might be needed, with the likes of Andreas Christensen, Ronald Araujo, and Fermin Lopez all being linked with a move away from the club.

Casado, too, is part of that list, although it is unlikely Barcelona will find any takers willing to splash €50 million to attain the Spaniard’s services this summer.
