The days leading up to Champions League matches are usually intense at FC Barcelona’s offices. Several agents and sporting directors take advantage of the occasion to travel to Barcelona and meet with the club’s top executives.
The Blaugrana will host Greek giants Olympiacos tomorrow at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Montjuic in their third league phase match, hoping to secure a much-needed win.
Now, according to SPORT, Pini Zahavi is arriving in the city this Monday. The Israeli super-agent will be present in the Montjuic VIP box on Tuesday to watch the match against Olympiacos and is scheduled to meet with Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
The two have long-standing business and personal ties, and the situation of Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires in June this year, will be on the table.
Yesterday, during the delegate members’ assembly, Deco was asked about the striker’s situation. The sporting director declined to provide details, stating that it was not the right time to discuss players under contract.
Within the club, it is generally assumed that, for now, an extension of the Polish forward’s deal is not being considered.

Moreover, Lewandowski’s current condition complicates any discussion. The striker returned injured from the international break and will be sidelined for four to five weeks, ruling him out of the Clasico.
Apart from Lewandowski, Pini Zahavi also represents Barcelona manager Hansi Flick.
The super-agent’s visits to Barcelona usually follow a familiar pattern: a meeting with Laporta at Botafumeiro and private discussions with his clients at his hotel.
Flick and Lewandowski typically attend these meetings to discuss their personal situations and update their representative so that he can negotiate with full awareness of their circumstances.
The Laporta-Zahavi meeting is scheduled for today or tomorrow. Each time the agent lands in Barcelona, he sets aside time to speak with the president.
A discussion about Lewandowski’s future will shape the agenda, and, for the moment, the veteran superstar is not expected to be renewed.
