According to a report by Roger Torello in Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona management is confident about Lamine Yamal’s future with the club.

Although Yamal’s contract with Barça officially ends in 2026, the club is not concerned about losing the young star. His current release clause is set at an impressive €1 billion, making it almost impossible for any club to swoop in easily.

Even though the contract technically expires in a little over a year and a half, Barça feels reassured due to a verbal agreement already in place between the player, his agent Jorge Mendes, and the club.

What is the agreement?

The understanding is that Yamal will sign a new deal extending his contract until 2030 as soon as he turns 18, the legal age of adulthood.

This extension has already been agreed upon, including the financial details regarding what Yamal will earn once he transitions from being a youth player to a full professional.

For Barcelona, this extension brings a sense of relief, as the young talent will not only stay at the club but also be rewarded for his contributions.

The club is confident that he will remain loyal, especially given his repeated declarations of wanting to achieve success at Barcelona, the club where he grew and became a global sensation.

Barcelona will take care of Yamal

Additionally, the club is going above and beyond to ensure Yamal’s overall well-being. Not only are they offering him a competitive salary, but they are also focusing on his development off the pitch.

Manager Hansi Flick is carefully managing his playing time, ensuring Yamal gets adequate rest when needed.

The club is also keeping a close eye on his physical condition and personal growth, monitoring even his diet and daily habits to help him flourish both as an athlete and as an individual.

This nurturing environment, along with Yamal’s deep-rooted passion for the club, is why Barcelona is confident in securing his future for years to come.
