In a surprising revelation, it has come to light that Barcelona are prepared to consider offers for Jules Kounde this summer, but only if there is a considerable offer.
While the defender remains a regular starter, the club is aware of his strong market demand and is not closing the door on a potential exit.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s position is that Kounde will only be sold if a significant bid arrives.
The Frenchman is still viewed as an important player, but the club recognise that his value could be maximised in the upcoming transfer window.
As such, interest from top European sides continues to build.
Just last summer, Manchester City made contact to check on his availability. Barcelona rejected the approach, and no formal offer followed.
Now, multiple clubs are monitoring the situation closely.
As per the outlet, Liverpool are searching for a defensively reliable full-back, while Manchester City remain interested after their previous enquiry.

Furthermore, Chelsea are also keeping track of developments, having tried to sign Kounde before his move to Spain.
Kounde’s season has been affected by recurring physical issues, which have impacted his consistency.
It is also said that although Barcelona would ideally want to keep him to maintain defensive stability, they know they would be unable to match the financial offers from Premier League clubs.
Meanwhile, squad depth gives Barcelona flexibility.
This is because Eric Garcia is available as cover, while Ronald Araujo offers versatility across the backline.
The club are also working to retain Joao Cancelo from Al Hilal, which would strengthen both flanks and Xavi Espart is there to make the most of the opportunities too.
Lastly, it must be noted that Kounde’s market value is currently around €65 million, but reports suggest Liverpool could go as high as €80 million.
If such an offer materialises and the player is open to the move, Barcelona would find it difficult to refuse.
