FC Barcelona have had a long-standing interest in Manchester City and Portugal playmaker Bernardo Silva.
The Blaugrana have made multiple attempts to sign the 31-year-old midfielder in the past, pursuing him with great fervour, especially during the time when Xavi Hernandez was manager.
However, Financial Fair Play issues meant that a move never materialised despite the player being open to making the switch.
However, according to Nico Rodriguez on El Chiringuito TV, Barcelona have revived their interest in Bernardo Silva in 2026.
Indeed, the Blaugrana are considering making a swoop for the 31-year-old Portuguese international in the summer, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Silva’s current contract with Manchester City runs out on June 30, and as per the report, he has already decided not to continue at the Etihad Stadium.

So, a departure as a free agent appears very much on the cards for the former AS Monaco ace, and Barcelona are weighing up a move.
Silva is a player with a proven pedigree and title-winning experience at the highest level and offers versatility as well, making him an appealing target.
However, at 31, he is entering the final phase of his career, and his form has been on the wane, while he could also command a significant salary.
All these factors could make Barça reconsider their interest, especially given that there are other, more important, positions to be strengthened in the squad before next season.
Indeed, the La Liga champions intend to sign a new centre-forward to replace Robert Lewandowski, a new left-footed central defender, and a left-winger – most likely Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal.
