According to Jijantes, Barcelona have smashed records by earning more than €2 million online from shirt sales on the day they launched their new kit for the 2025-26 season.

In addition, the club recorded €360,000 in sales from their official stores alone.

The new Barça shirt, featuring stylish gradient stripes, was released on Wednesday and quickly became a massive hit among fans, setting a new first-day sales record for a first-team shirt.

By just 1 o’clock in the afternoon, Barcelona had already broken their previous sales record, proving how excited fans are about the new design.

The club expects the final figures to be even higher once all online sales from across the globe, especially from the United States and other parts of the Americas, are counted.

These early results show the huge global support for Barcelona and the powerful connection fans feel through the club’s iconic jersey.

On the first day of the new kit’s launch, the standout favourite among buyers was the shirt of young sensation Lamine Yamal, complete with the number 10 on the back.

Although it has not been officially announced that Yamal will take over the legendary number previously worn by Ansu Fati, the move has become an open secret among fans.

Yamal himself has hinted at the change on his social media, sparking even more excitement and anticipation.

The official confirmation of Yamal inheriting the number 10 is expected on July 13, which coincides with his 18th birthday and the celebration of his new contract extension until June 30, 2031.

The buzz surrounding Yamal’s shirt shows just how important he is to the future of Barcelona and how eager supporters are to see him carry the club’s legacy forward.
