FC Barcelona return to La Liga action with a home game against Valencia. While it will be played at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, it will still give the Catalan giants a strong home support behind them. However, there are some issues to worry about as well.

Lamine Yamal is confirmed to be out for this game, and certain other players are sidelined as well. However, Hansi Flick has enough quality in this team to field a strong starting eleven.

Predicted Barcelona Line-up:

Goalkeeper: Joan Garcia

In goal, Joan Garcia should not be a doubt for Barça. The Spaniard was easily the team’s best player in their previous game against Rayo Vallecano, and this is a chance for him to repeat a top performance.

Right-back: Jules Kounde

After struggling a bit in the previous game, Jules Kounde might get to start this game as well. However, he has to make sure he performs better this time around.

Centre-back: Eric Garcia

The Spaniard proved that he can be a good asset as a centre-back when needed, and this might be a game where he is needed in that position.

Centre-back: Pau Cubarsi

With Pau Cubarsi not having started the last game, this could be an opportunity for Hansi Flick to make use of him again and rely on his ball-playing abilities to open up the opposition.

Left-back: Gerard Martin

Since Alejandro Balde will not be available for selection, it is quite likely that Gerard Martin will step up in his absence. The Spaniard has proven he can do that, and he will need to in this particular game.

CDM: Marc Casado

With both Frenkie de Jong and Gavi out injured, Marc Casado seems likely to be the most likely option to partner up with Pedri in midfield. Fortunately, he has the quality and experience to perform when needed.

CDM: Pedri

Pedri remains the midfield maestro of this Barça team, and he essentially runs the team. With him in the starting eleven, it is clear that La Blaugrana can always find a way to put the opponents in a tough spot.

The Brazilian forward can have a strong impact on the right wing, and with Lamine Yamal injured, that might just be the role that he has to play this game.

While the Spaniard has not been at his best so far, he certainly has the quality to make a difference. This could be a good opportunity for him to make an impact as well.

With Lamine Yamal injured, Marcus Rashford could start for Barça on the left wing so that Raphinha can play on the right. This could be a good opportunity for him to shine for Hansi Flick’s side.

Scoring goals for fun at this point, Ferran Torres is in fine form right now. It would make sense for Flick to continue giving him the opportunities to shine for Barcelona.
