Despite going through a near-perfect campaign, Barcelona are expected to have a busy summer ahead.
The club are likely to add more quality and depth to the team, especially in the attacking unit, where the team has appeared quite reliant on the front three.
Therefore, Barcelona are ideally looking for a versatile forward, who can not only operate out wide but can also serve as a backup for Robert Lewandowski in the goalscoring department.
It appears Barcelona may have already found their desired attacking target for the summer, in the form of Luis Diaz, reports Diario SPORT.
The Colombian international has long been admired by Deco, who views the winger as a perfect fit for Hansi Flick’s high-intensity, wide-play system.
Aged 28 and under contract at Anfield until 2027, Diaz would command a fee of around €80 million – a figure that would have been out of reach in the recent past.

However, with Barcelona optimistic about resolving their Financial Fair Play limitations, the club believes a move for Diaz is now within the realm of possibility.
His current salary, reported to be around €3.5 million per year, is considered manageable under Barça’s wage structure and is notably lower than that of other wide targets, such as Nico Williams.
Diaz, for his part, is open to a move to La Liga, and Barcelona’s recent sporting project, combined with their return to the revamped Camp Nou, is proving increasingly attractive for top-level players.
While the Financial Fair Play margins remain a big if, Deco has made it clear: reinforcing the flanks is a priority. And in Luis Diaz, Barça believe they’ve found the right mix of quality, experience, and value.
