Barcelona are eyeing Borussia Dortmund’s young forward, Karim Adeyemi, as a potential addition to their squad, and they are willing to include Ferran Torres in a swap deal to make it happen, according to Fichajes.
Adeyemi has been on the radar of several top European clubs, including Liverpool, thanks to his speed and strong attacking presence. However, Barcelona seem set on pursuing the 22-year-old, despite their ongoing financial challenges.
To reduce the direct cost, Barça are proposing to offer Torres as part of the deal, which could lower the fee needed for the transfer.
Currently, Adeyemi is valued at around €50 million, so the inclusion of Torres might help Barcelona reach a more manageable agreement with Dortmund.
Barcelona’s forward line has been led by seasoned striker Robert Lewandowski, but the team wants a younger, versatile player who can add energy and options up front.

Rising talents like Lamine Yamal have shown promise, yet the club believes Adeyemi’s speed and adaptability could further elevate their attack. Torres, on the other hand, has struggled to secure a regular place in Hansi Flick’s line-up.
Despite his skills, Torres has not fully fit into the system under Flick, which makes him a likely candidate for a move. Flick is known to appreciate Torres’s abilities on the wings and in central attack, but it seems that a swap involving him could be beneficial for both clubs.
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s interest means Barcelona may face competition, but they hope the offer of a direct swap, giving Dortmund an experienced option in Torres, will make their proposal stand out.
The potential transfer of Adeyemi to Barcelona reflects the club’s ambition to reinvigorate their attacking force as they aim to start life without Lewandowski in the coming seasons.
The addition of Adeyemi would mark another step in Barcelona’s ongoing plans to strengthen and diversify their squad with young, dynamic talent.
If successful, this swap deal could be a strategic move that benefits all parties involved, particularly as Barcelona look to stay competitive among Europe’s elite.
