Andreas Christensen started his career at Chelsea but couldn’t establish himself there. Hence, he moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer. While he has been a decent performer for them so far, his recurring injury issues haven’t done any favour to him.

Christensen has featured only once in the ongoing campaign for merely 26 minutes. While he returned from a long-term injury recently, he suffered a calf injury in training which will keep him out of action for some more time.
The Danish defender is versatile enough to don the centre-back or a defensive midfielder role. He is comfortable with the ball and is a good distributor. He is also good at blocking shots and marks an aerial presence due to his good height.
Barcelona have reignited themselves under the coaching of Hansi Flick this season. They have adapted to new strategies which has worked well for them so far. Whoever has taken charge of the backline has done well for the club.
With multiple options for the centre-back position, it’s ideal for the Spanish club to offload Andreas Christensen. They signed him for free and hence, even a reasonable offer for him will allow the club to book a decent profit upon him.
Christensen’s recurring injuries are a matter of concern and with Eric Garcia doing really well, there is no need for Barcelona to keep hold of the Danish defender. It won’t be surprising that the player will have a couple of clubs knocking on his door next summer.
