Barcelona & Real Madrid stars included in Germany squad for Euro 2024 | OneFootball

Players from Spanish football’s two biggest clubs have been named in the German national team’s provisional squad for the upcoming European Championships.

First, from La Liga champions Real Madrid come two star performers, in the form of the returning Toni Kroos, and defensive stalwart Antonio Rüdiger.

Both Blancos have of course enjoyed stellar individual campaigns to date, expected to be afforded respective starting berths in their home country this summer as a result.

Turning attentions towards La Liga’s current 2nd-placed outfit, Barcelona, too, are represented by two high-profile names in Die Mannschaft’s ranks.

First up, captain İlkay Gündoğan, who is expected to join the aforementioned Kroos in a star-studded German midfield at Euro 2024, is in.

And Blaugrana teammate Marc-André ter Stegen, who faces an uphill task in ousting Manuel Neuer from his place between the posts, will be present at the tournament, too.

None of these four look in any real danger of being cut from Julian Nagelsmann’s finalised squad over the coming weeks.
