PSG appear to have their eyes on another Barcelona player as they aim to build on last season’s achievements and maintain their dominance in Europe after lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy and completing a remarkable treble. Another addition from the Catalan club could soon follow.
The French giants have a history of pursuing Barcelona players, a strategy that has brought several notable names from Spain to Paris.
Recent signings Arnau Tenas and Ousmane Dembele added to that list, joining a lineup that has included Neymar Jr., Lionel Messi, and Xavi Simons. Now, PSG are reportedly setting their sights on another Barcelona standout who may be available as a free agent in the summer of 2026.

According to L’Equipe (h/t Paris Fans), PSG have shown interest in Barcelona defender Eric Garcia, who is capable of playing both at center back and right back. The club are aiming to sign him on a free transfer next summer, though he has already appeared in 14 matches this season.
If negotiations continue to move forward before January, PSG could look to reach an agreement with Barcelona to secure the Spain international during the winter window instead.
Mundo Deportivo, however, reports that Garcia is negotiating a contract extension and wants to stay at Barça. Deco has met several times with Garcia’s agent to offer a long-term deal, and both sides are hopeful the discussions will lead to a new agreement.
The report from the French outlet comes after TBR Football’s Graeme Bailey revealed that Garcia has agreed to a new contract with Barcelona, ending speculation over a potential transfer. Tottenham and Chelsea had expressed interest in the defender but have been told he is no longer available.
Nonetheless, the Ligue 1 giants could be looking at another Barcelona player next summer. According to Mundo Deportivo, PSG have set their sights on 18-year-old Juan Hernández, one of FC Barcelona Atlético’s most promising young players.
