Barcelona receive Premier League transfer enquiry | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have this week received contact from the Premier League, regarding a potential transfer dealing.

That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Héctor Fort as the subject of the alleged interest.

Youngster Fort for his part all of a sudden finds himself without a place in the plans of Hansi Flick for the season ahead.

Owing to the respective emergences of Eric García and Gerard Martín as viable full-back options in Barcelona’s XI, the 19-year-old is out of favour on both flanks.

Fort, in turn, has been tipped for both loan and permanent departures from Catalunya’s capital.

And as alluded to above, this week, one of English football’s most recognisable clubs have touched base with the Blaugrana brass, to gather information on a potential deal for the defender.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Aston Villa have made contact to be informed on Hector Fort deal as Barcelona RB could leave this month. Initial talks ongoing.’
