Barcelona have seen an opening offer for an up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals RCD Mallorca rejected.
That’s according to Diario Sport, citing Última Hora, who point towards Marc Domènech as the player in question.
Domènech, for his part, is fresh off a stellar campaign at youth level in Mallorca, which saw the 2006-born starlet rack up 21 goals in group III of the Youth Honor Division.
And such exploits, it is understood, proved enough to pique the attentions of a whole host of clubs across Spain.
It is the aforementioned Barcelona, though, whose interest has been most concrete, with the brass at the Camp Nou having gone as far as to table an opening bid for Domènech’s signature.
The offer in question came in around the €300,000 mark, but was swiftly rejected.
Barcelona have not yet given up hope of closing a deal for the young frontman, however, and could make sure of as much by coughing up Domènech’s €1 million release clause.
Mallorca, on the other hand, are working to tie their crown jewel down to fresh terms, all the way through the summer of 2029.
