Barcelona are set to take on Rayo Vallecano on Monday – a game where securing three points could help the Catalans reclaim their position at the top of the league table.

Heading into this crucial game, however, Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal has left everyone shocked by appearing in training with a bulky bandage on his right hand.

Nothing serious for Yamal

However, a recent report from SPORT has clarified that there is nothing serious going on with Lamine Yamal.

The bandage covered the entirety of his wrist. Two of his fingers could also be seen bandaged, leading to fears that he may have picked up a fresh knock.

But there is nothing serious with the winger. And that is why Barcelona did not even issue a medical report for the young attacker, who has been wearing the bandage for about 15 days.

The bandage also has not prevented the young attackers from conducting all the normal exercises. The player was also seen quite happy and energetic in front of the press.

In fact, the report clarifies that Yamal should be fully fit and prepared to start against Rayo Vallecano on Monday.

This could serve as a major boost for Hansi Flick, who will be counting on the youngster’s services in the final third.

Despite being only 17, Yamal has been a key figure for Barcelona this season, racking up 11 goals and 15 assists in 31 competitive matches.

Yamal’s ability to dribble through opposition defenders, coupled with his connection with Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski could be critical as Barcelona look to ease past the Vallecano defence tomorrow.
