FC Barcelona has a rather special connection to the South American transfer market. Over the years, many talented players from that region have been signed by the Catalan club. Moreover, the club apparently looks to have no plans of stopping anytime soon.

Now, yet again, the Blaugranes appear to be linked to yet another South American prospect who is making a name for himself with Brazilian side Corinthians. Aged just 20, the player in question is a youngster named Breno Bidon.

Moreover, according to Football Espana, Barça appears to be one of the four La Liga clubs present at two of his recent games in order to scout him. The other three teams from Spain were reportedly Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, and Real Betis. Moreover, other clubs from England and Italy are reportedly interested as well.

This shows the intent and conviction of these sides to always keep an eye on such promising young talents. At the young age of 20, Bidon is already quite an impressive midfielder, and his talents on the ball are simply sublime.

A profile that works well for FC Barcelona

From his composure on the ball to his vision and ability to dictate the tempo of the games, Bidon offers the kind of profile that any top European club would love to have. Even for Barça’s approach and system, as per the report at least, he would be a great fit.

However, Corinthians do not appear to be in a rush to offload the player just yet. They want to continue monitoring his growth for now before making a decision in the future. This likely works for Barça as well for now, but the Catalan club could definitely look to bring him in, potentially if interests align.
