Barcelona manager Hansi Flick’s demanding style of football undoubtedly arrives with its downsides, one of which is the need for optimal man-management.

Having limited options to rotate in the final third, the manager barely gave a break to his starting forward trio in recent weeks and its effect is visible now with Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski injured.

Both players’ availability against Celta Vigo is not ruled out, yet is far from certain, and the manager must thus keep his options open.

Needless to say, he has an eye on the academy where a 16-year-old pearl is catching attention.

The Juvenil A star

Indeed, as relayed by SPORT, Barcelona see Oscar Gistau, Juvenil A’s 16-year-old talent, to be a potential option to cover in the first-team at this injury-stricken hour.

With Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres also injured in the first team and the likes of Dani Rodriguez and Toni Fernandez injured for Barça Atletic, Gistau is seen as a player who can provide the profile Flick requires.

The player could thus play the ‘Marc Guiu role’ as seen under Xavi Hernandez as he nears a chance to train under the German tactician’s command.

Gistau has already scored three goals this season in the Youth League matches, two in the Youth Honor division and two for the Spanish under-17 team. In fact, he has already made his debut for Barça Atletic this term.

The youngster is not only a player who brings goals but is also instrumental with his off-the-ball movements and buildup play and is thus the perfect profile that Flick demands. Needless to say, he will be behind Pau Victor on the pecking order.
