La Liga giants Barcelona have this weekend made clear their stance on the potential sale of Ferran Torres. This comes as Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain continue to push for the Spaniard’s signing.
Frontman Ferran has of course seen his future thrown somewhat suddenly up in the air over recent weeks.
Previously considered more than happy in Catalunya’s capital, the 26-year-old is now understood to be giving serious consideration to a new adventure away from Barcelona.
Amid widespread interest in a player who has just 12 months remaining on his contract, the aforementioned PSG have been the club most heavily linked with a move for Ferran.
Just hours on from reports coming to the fore, suggesting that the Camp Nou brass had opened to a potential sale, however, Deco and co. are now said to have shut the door on as much.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘FC Barcelona’s stance in this case is very clear: Ferran Torres is not for sale, according to sources within the club. This is because they are counting on him.’
The plan, it is added, is to work out the terms of a new deal with Ferran in September, once the transfer window has closed.
