According to Fichajes, Barça would be willing to listen to offers for 23-year-old left-back Gerard Martin if the right kind of price is involved. Reportedly, the asking price that has been set by Barcelona right now hovers around the €15 million mark, and if that is met, the club would be willing to negotiate an exit for him.

Despite his solid performances last season, the report claims that Hansi Flick wants to deploy fullbacks with more attacking prowess. Alejandro Balde fits that profile perfectly, and Jofre Torrents also performed quite well in the recent preseason friendly against Vissel Kobe.

With those two left-backs fitting the kind of profile that Flick wants in this team, Martin essentially gets pushed down the pecking order. While he offers more stability and balance, Flick’s desire to have his fullbacks play more aggressively could push the Barcelona defender away.
