On 27 September, FC Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia underwent surgery for a tear in the internal meniscus of his left knee. The Catalans initially estimated a recovery period of four to six weeks, depending on how the injury progressed.
With Garcia sidelined and Marc-Andre ter Stegen also unavailable due to back problems. Wojciech Szczesny has been temporarily covering the goal for the Blaugrana.
However, Garcia is expected to reclaim the starting spot once he is declared fit to play.
Now, according to SPORT, Garcia’s return to action is expected after the international break later this month.
The 24-year-old star’s six-week recovery period will be completed on Saturday, 8 November, but Flick’s coaching staff are not willing to take any risks with the return of the goalkeeper.

Since last week, Garcia has already resumed individual training on the pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. But, as things stand, he has been ruled out of Wednesday’s Champions League match against Club Brugge.
When asked about Garcia’s recovery during the post-match press conference following the match against Elche, the German coach gave the following response:
“We expect Joan Garcia to return to the team for the first match after the international break, but I do not think he will be available on Wednesday. Even so, he is progressing very well and his performance has been really excellent.
It is true that he could be included in the travelling squad for the weekend fixture against Celta Vigo, but Flick’s comments make it clear that his return is expected after the international break.
Post the international window, Barcelona will return to action on Saturday, 22 November, against Athletic Club, which is when Garcia is expected to come back.
