Barcelona have placed a €50 million valuation on Ferran Torres as Paris Saint-Germain intensify their interest in the Spanish forward.

The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his contract, forcing Barca to make a clear decision over his future. Renewal talks have started slowly, while PSG are now working to convince the player to move to Paris.

According to SPORT, Barcelona will not block Ferran’s departure if he asks to leave, but the club have no intention of accepting a reduced fee simply because his contract expires in 2027.

PSG are reshaping their attack after Goncalo Ramos left for Milan, while Randal Kolo Muani could also depart. Luis Enrique is said to have personally requested Ferran, valuing his versatility, movement, and ability to operate across the front line.

Barcelona will not negotiate below their valuation

Barca believe Ferran is worth €50 million and plan to stand firm on that figure. PSG could offer around €45 million including variables, but the Catalan club expect them to improve their proposal.

That position makes sense. Ferran may not always have been an automatic starter, but he has consistently produced useful numbers and is currently the only natural senior option at centre-forward in Hansi Flick’s squad.

Selling him cheaply would create both a sporting and financial problem. If PSG genuinely want the player, they must pay a fee that allows Barcelona to find a replacement without weakening the squad.

The operation would also have major consequences for the wider transfer plan. A €50 million sale would generate important salary and transfer-market space, strengthening Barca’s attempt to sign Julian Alvarez.

At the same time, losing Ferran would make a new striker even more urgent. Barca could also consider adding a second forward if an attractive opportunity appears later in the market.

The next move belongs to the player. Ferran must first complete his agreement with PSG and formally communicate his desire to leave.

Until then, Barcelona are right to remain patient. Ferran is valuable, under contract, and difficult to replace. PSG may see an opportunity, but Barca should make sure it is an opportunity for them too.
