Barcelona continue to endure difficult spell as Hansi Flick grapples with deepening injury crisis that has stripped the squad of several key names.

After Pedri’s latest setback, the list of absentees now includes Gavi, Dani Olmo, Raphinha and joan Garcia leaving the German coach with limited options in rotation and planning.

Slow and steady progress

Goalkeeper joan Garcia, sidelined since late September following knee surgery sustained against Real Oviedo has been edging closer to full fitness.

The Spaniard initially targeted an early November return but reports from Mundo Deportivo now suggest his comeback might be pushed back to the end of the month.

The delay isn’t due to setback — Garcia’s recovery has gone smoothly but rather strategic decision by Barcelona’s medical staff to avoid any risk of relapse.

Possible return matches

According to the same report, Garcia could receive his medical clearance before the Celta Vigo fixture next week. However his actual return to action might be held off until the Athletic Bilbao match or even Chelsea in Champions League days later.
