Barcelona set their sights on two key objectives for the upcoming months – Report

FC Barcelona, on the pitch, have been going from strength to strength, with Hansi Flick making them a well-oiled machine. The odd blip against Real Sociedad notwithstanding, the performances in general have seemed to keep getting better as the games progress.

The more the players play together, the better they understand each other’s moments. This has largely improved the combination play visible in the team and the major concern is they can retain their match fitness and not collapse like they did against Real Sociedad last weekend.

Even as Hansi Flick continues to work from a sporting perspective, as per SPORT, Barcelona have set its sights on two key objectives that they need to resolve at the club in the coming months.

The first major priority for Barcelona is getting the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor sorted before January. Joan Laporta is personally handling this issue and the report claims that everything will be based on the entry of new revenues through Barça Vision.

The expectation is that the club will be able to solve these issues before December 15th, just in time to register and operate under the 1-1 rule. Back in the summer, Barcelona opted for temporary measures and kicked the can down the road and now, they need to reach a resolution

The other major priority on Barcelona’s agenda, which is being taken care of by Deco, is the contract renewals of Pedri and Gavi. Two of the club’s biggest prospects of the present and the future, it is important that they sign long-term contract extensions and Deco is prioritizing on getting it done.

One more issue that Deco wants to handle, although conversations for the same could be somewhere down the line is the future of Frenkie de Jong and Ronald Araujo. Similar to Pedri and Gavi, the duo also see their contracts expire in 2026.

It is good to see that Barcelona are working behind the scenes to secure the futures of players currently at the club before thinking about transfer targets. Let’s wait and see how the situation plays out for the Catalan club in the coming months, both in terms of renewals and registrations.
