Barcelona are set for a busy end to the summer transfer window, with more signings and exits planned right up to the deadline. They will look to sign a new striker to complete their attack, although there have been chances for one of their current forward options to depart in the next couple of weeks.
So far, Barcelona have signed Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, Jesse Bisiwu and Rodri, whose arrival was confirmed in the last 24 hours. In Bisiwu’s case, he has been signed to operate in a similar role to the one Roony Bardghji had last season, although one club believes they can take advantage of his expected lack of prominence.
As per Athletiko (via Sport), Olympiacos are interested in signing Bisiwu on loan for the 2026-27 season, with club-to-club contact having already been made. The 18-year-old, who only joined earlier this month from Club Brugge, has been sounded out as an ideal addition to the Greek side’s ranks, although it is unlikely that they secure his services this summer.
Bisiwu has impressed since arriving in Catalonia, especially during Barcelona’s 5-2 victory over FC Basel last weekend, and thus, they have made it clear to Olympiacos that an exit will not happen during the ongoing transfer window. Their plan is to keep him in the first team dynamic for the 2026-27 season, as they believe this will be best for his development.
Bisiwu is unlikely to be used much by Flick over the next 12 months, but it is crucial that he fully integrates at Barcelona in order to give him the best chance of having a successful stay in Catalonia. There is a chance that he leaves on loan in 2027, but for now, it is very clear that he will be part of the first team squad.
