Barcelona star admits Julián Alvarez ‘would fit in very well’ | OneFootball

Atlético Madrid star Julián Alvarez has this week been assured that he would slot into the attacking ranks at Barcelona without a hitch. This comes ahead of one last incoming push on the part of the Blaugrana to bring the Argentine to Catalunya’s capital.

The Camp Nou brass have of course been left thoroughly frustrated in their pursuit of frontman Alvarez across the summer to date.

After identifying the World Cup winner as their first-choice replacement for the outbound Robert Lewandowski, Deco and co. have since been unable to thrash out an agreement with their Atlético Madrid counterparts on the terms of a deal.

The speculation linking the parties with a joining of forces, though, has continued to persist…

And one individual of the opinion that any such move would prove to be a success for club and player alike is Blaugrana star Fermín López.

Drawn on Alvarez’s potential arrival during an interview with Diari ARA this week, midfielder Fermín explained:

“I like him, he’s a great player, but ultimately he’s an Atlético Madrid player, so I can’t say much more about him. I can only say that, in our squad and the way we play, I think he would fit in very well.”
