A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is attracting interest from some of the continent’s most high-profile clubs this summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Marc Casadó as the player in question.

Youngster Casadó is for his part of course fresh off a breakout campaign on the books of Barcelona.

Afforded a prominent role by new Blaugrana headmaster Hansi Flick, the 21-year-old took full advantage, in shining from his berth at the base of midfield.

Casadó’s excellence in possession was complemented by a never-say-die attitude off the ball, culminating in a complete midfield package.

And such endeavours – which gave rise to a call-up to the Spanish senior team – evidently did not go unnoticed outside Catalunya’s capital.

As per a report from Sport:

‘One of the players who has received proposals to leave in recent days is Marc Casadó, whose situation has caught the attention of the Premier League and more specifically Chelsea.’

Back in Spain, Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid are also understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation of the young Spaniard.

Significantly, it is also noted that, ‘if Chelsea were to make an economic offer much higher than the 30 million euros of their current valuation,’ Barcelona would take into real consideration a sale.
