Barcelona star becomes first to follow new teammate Gordon on IG | OneFootball

Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong has become the first member of the club’s first-team setup to follow incoming teammate Anthony Gordon on social media.

Winger Gordon was of course unveiled as the latest addition to Hansi Flick’s ranks on Friday evening.

After a quickfire round of negotiations with Newcastle United during the week, Barcelona struck an agreement on the terms of a big-money swoop for the Englishman.

Gordon, in turn, flew out to Catalunya’s capital, before putting pen to paper on a long-term contract.

Even before signing his deal, though, the 25-year-old had already gained a high-profile new follower on his official Instagram account.

As showcased below, upon learning of Gordon’s arrival being labelled as imminent, Frenkie de Jong took to his social media platforms, to show his support for his incoming teammate.

Marcus Rashford also follows his fellow countryman owing to their time spent together playing for England, though the former’s status as a Barcelona player is of course considered as being entirely up in the air at present.
