A member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Barcelona could be in line for his first-ever start for the club in their upcoming meeting with Getafe.
This comes amid the understanding that Hansi Flick is giving consideration to throwing Gabriel Jesus in from the off next weekend.
Frontman Jesus of course took his talents to Catalunya’s capital late in the summer transfer window, in something of a surprise move from Premier League champions Arsenal.
The Brazilian has since gone on to impress in limited game time in Barca colours, notching a pair of goals in just 41 minutes on the pitch all told.
And as alluded to above, next time out, his production in the final third could well see Jesus rewarded…
As per a report from Diario Sport, with Raphinha having been forced into a premature departure from international duty with Brazil owing to a muscular problem this week, the 29-year-old could be rested from the off against Getafe in the Blaugrana’s post-break return to the pitch on October 10th.
And the favourite to step in in place of his fellow countryman would be Gabriel Jesus, ahead of youngster Hamza Abdelkarim.
