Barcelona star forced off with injury on international duty | OneFootball

All associated with La Liga giants Barcelona have on Tuesday been forced to sweat. This comes after star attacker Raphinha picked up a fitness problem.

Frontman Raphinha was for his part back in action on the international front earlier today, featuring from the off in a friendly meeting between Brazil and Australia.

The former Leeds United man kept alive his explosive recent spell in front of goal during the first-half, slotting home from the penalty spot to draw Carlo Ancelotti’s men level.

Upon his teammates reemerging for the 2nd-half, however, Raphinha was nowhere to be seen, replaced by Endrick in the Brazilian XI.

It was subsequently confirmed by the CBF that the change came as a result of ‘muscle discomfort’.

Little further information has since been provided, as Hansi Flick and the Barcelona coaching staff face up to an anxious wait for an update on the wellbeing of their captain and leader.
