A remarkable statistic, highlighting the excellence of Barcelona star Raphinha in European competition since his arrival at the club, has on Thursday come to the fore online.
This, of course, comes after the Brazilian played a starring role for Barcelona once more on Wednesday night.
Hansi Flick’s troops are fresh off securing a 2nd-placed finish in the newly-formatted Champions League table.
This comes after a meeting with Serie A high-flyers Atalanta in Catalunya’s capital culminated in a hard-fought and entertaining 2-2 result.
Raphinha, for his part, featured from the off in the matchup, from his customary berth on the left flank.
And, amid what has been nothing short of a spectacular campaign to date, the former Leeds United man, once again, shone bright.
Raphinha laid on the assists for both of Barca’s goals on the evening, first for Lamine Yamal, and later for Ronald Araújo.
And such efforts have since given rise to an altogether head-turning statistic.
As revealed by Opta, Raphinha is the player with the best minutes-per-goal involvement ratio in Barcelona’s Champions League history.
The 28-year-old has to date played a direct hand in a goal every 75 minutes for the Blaugrana in Europe’s premiere competition.
This is better than Lionel Messi in 2nd (80 minutes) and Neymar Jr. in 3rd (95 minutes).
