Barcelona star limps out of Girona clash with injury worry | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have on Monday been dealt a potential setback on the personnel front.

This comes after Eric García was forced into a premature departure from the club’s latest outing.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with Catalan rivals Girona at the Estadi Montilivi.

The aforementioned Eric featured from the off in the fixture, at the heart of the visitors’ backline.

During the 2nd-half, however, shortly after Girona had levelled things up at a goal apiece, the Spaniard was spotted looking in evident discomfort.

At such a crucial point in the campaign, Hansi Flick took no chances, quickly hauling Eric off as a result.

From here, the stopper could not hide his frustration with the situation, punching the seat in the dugout before taking his place on the bench.

It now remains to be seen if Eric is facing up to any kind of extended spell on the sidelines.
