Barcelona star overtakes Neymar in history books | OneFootball

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has on Sunday overtaken club icon Neymar in the Blaugrana goalscoring charts.

This comes after the Pole notched a brace in Barca’s latest outing.

Restored to the Catalans’ starting XI for the evening, Lewandowski justified his inclusion within the space of the opening 45 minutes.

This came by way of a double in front of goal, taking the 37-year-old’s tally in Barcelona colours to an impressive 107 goals.

Lewandowski, in turn, has broken his tie with ex-Blaugrana winger Neymar (105 goals) in the history books.

Lewandowski’s 2nd of the evening at Balaídos put the visitors back in front amid what was nothing short of a chaotic opening 45 minutes.

After the veteran striker’s goals were cancelled out on both ocassions, by Sergio Carreira and Borja Iglesias respectively, Lamine Yamal rounded out the scoring in a five-goal first-half with what, as things stand, represents the game’s winning goal.
