Earlier today, Barcelona offered an update on Joan Garcia, revealing that the goalkeeper has successfully completed his surgery and has been moved to a ward.
Garcia is now expected to rest and recover, with many expecting him to be ruled out for at least four to six weeks.
The surgery came on the back of a meniscus injury, which is going to stifle the progress of the goalkeeper, who was performing brilliantly since joining Barcelona this summer.
In the wake of his successful surgery, Garcia was greeted by his closest friends and family at the Hospital, reports Mundo Deportivo.
Among the first to visit was teammate Dani Olmo, the Barcelona superstar who shares the same agent as Garcia.
Their representative, Juanma Lopez, also made the trip, even though his former club, Atletico Madrid, were set to play a derby at the Metropolitano later in the day.

Accompanying him were Juanma Lopez Jr. and Aitor Banda, both linked to the Niagara representation agency, which manages several top players across Spain.
Now that the surgery is complete, the goalkeeper will be hoping for a quick road to recovery. Fortunately, there were no complications with the surgery, and if everything goes well, the Spaniard could be back in no time.
As a matter of fact, recent reports indicate that Garcia is not entirely ruled out from Barcelona’s big game against Real Madrid next month.
But until then, the Catalans will count on the services of Wojciech Szczesny to replace the former Espanyol star.
