Barcelona star set for international recall this month | OneFootball

A member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Barcelona is set to be imminently rewarded for his exploits since joining the club.

This comes amid the understanding that Karim Adeyemi is primed for a recall to the German national team squad.

Attacker Adeyemi of course secured something of a surprise Barca switch back in July. Identified as an ideal rotation option by the Camp Nou brass, Deco and co. thrashed out a cut-price deal with their Borussia Dortmund counterparts ahead of the expiration of the 24-year-old’s contract terms next summer.

Adeyemi has since gone on to enjoy a positive start to life at the Camp Nou, with three goals and an assist to his name all told.

And such efforts, as alluded to above, have evidently not gone unnoticed on the part of the new coaching staff of the German national team. As per a report from journalist Patrick Berger of Sky Germany:

‘Jürgen Klopp will nominate both Eintracht strikers right away: Alongside Jonny Burkardt, Younes Ebnoutalib will also receive an invitation to the national team. Additionally, Karim Adeyemi, Kevin Schade, and Said El Mala are set to return.’

Adeyemi was for his part left out of Julian Nagelsmann’s Die Mannschaft setup for this summer’s World Cup.
