Barcelona star’s agent responds to claims he could retire at end of the season | OneFootball

The agent of Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has responded to suggestions that his client could call time on his career at the end of the campaign.

This comes amid claims that, in the case of not being offered an extension to his expiring contract terms in Catalunya’s capital, the Pole could opt to hang up his boots.

Speaking during an interview with WinWinAllSports, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, this week, Lewandowski’s entourage was therefore drawn on such a possibility.

It was quickly assured, however, that:

“The reports that Robert Lewandowski is considering retirement are not true.”

Frontman Lewandowski is for his part of course fresh off a match-winning performance this past weekend.

Restored to Barcelona’s XI by manager Hansi Flick, the 37-year-old provided a timely reminder of his remaining abilities in front of goal when firing on all cylinders.

This came by way of a hat-trick, to guide the Blaugrana to a 4-2 victory at in-form Celta Vigo.
