Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad were involved in a heated altercation on the back of the club’s meeting with Benfica this evening.
As much was confirmed on Movistar’s live broadcast of the clash.
Barcelona, of course, are fresh off a comeback for the ages.
After making the trip to Portugal for a Champions League showdown with the aforementioned Benfica, the Blaugrana found themselves in a two-goal hole inside the closing 15 minutes.
After Robert Lewandowski pulled one back to spark hope of recovery on the part of the Catalans, though, substitute Eric García levelled things up from close range late on.
And this set the stage for Raphinha to slot home the latest of winners, a full four minutes into injury time.
The drama in Lisbon, though, did not end upon the full-time whistle bringing a close to proceedings on the pitch.
This comes with it having since been confirmed that a scuffle involving both sets of players, with match-winner Raphinha as the central protagonist, was sparked in the tunnel post-match.
Those involved were ultimately separated, but only after the intervention of the police presence in attendance at the Estádio da Luz.
