Barcelona star’s Premier League links rubbished | OneFootball

Speculation linking Barcelona star Jules Koundé with a potential summer transfer to England has on Wednesday been put firmly to bed.

The name of defender Koundé reemerged as a prominent one in the media across Europe over the course of the last 24 hours. This came after claims surfaced that the France international had made his way onto the summer wishlist of Tottenham Hotspur.

Amid an ongoing search for versatile reinforcements at the back, Roberto De Zerbi and co. were rumoured to have circled Koundé’s name in red.

As alluded to above, however, just as quickly as these links came to the fore, they have since been rubbished. As confirmed in a report on the part of transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘There’s nothing between Jules Koundé and Tottenham despite the links in the recent hours. No interest, no negotiations.’

Despite a somewhat hit-and-miss campaign at the Spotify Camp Nou last season, it is considered highly likely that Koundé will still be a Barcelona player upon the summer window slamming shut.
